Denver travel guide

Home of Union station, Coors field, museums, 16th st mall, beautiful views and many more. Coming to this mile-high city I didn’t know what to expect because I’ve never been to Colorado or anything near and this city has wowed me. It is very diverse and has so many things to do, this city is busy but you can also find many quiet places. Whether you’re a city lover, mountain wanderer, and or in between Denver is the place.

I traveled to Denver for a mini get away and I will share with you what we did to give y’all ideas When you head to Denver!

Friday:

The spring café - This is a cute and local coffee shop that is located in a church a block away from the capital. Also this coffee shop helps support refugee families! I had a vanilla iced coffee and a gluten free sandwich, totally recommend!

Free walking tour – This was awesome! we got to see 2 hours’ worth of Denver on a free tour (they just work by tips). I highly recommend this tour because you see everything of Denver in a short amount of time but be sure to bring your walking shoes. Down below are some of the places we saw during the tour.

16th Street mall – This was so a great way to shop in Denver! They have cute boutiques, souvenir shops, convenient shops, and restaurants. This place is so fun and a great way to site see while shopping! They also have free bus rides all day long up and down 16th street.

Kirkland museums of fine and decorative art – This museum was my favorite because I love interior design. It is also fairly new they just opened in March and have so many great pieces. Its only $10 and it’s a great way to see how interior design evolved through the years.

Saturday:

Denver zoo – I am a lover of animals and this zoo amazed me! I come from a city where our zoo is well known so I wasn’t sure how it was going to be but I was impressed. They had shows all day long, feedings (I got to feed a llama), very eco-friendly, and they use positive reinforcement with the animals. We ate a very good Chinese food in the “china town part” and had Starbucks in the gift shop! They have so many things to do and see so I recommend going here, especially if you have kids while in Denver! The tickets are $20 but they are worth it in my opinion.

16th street mall – After we went to the zoo we went back to 16th st mall for more shopping, dinner, and to get city vibes.

Sunday

Rino art distract: In the morning we decided we were going to explore the art distract and find cute walls. To start our morning we went to have brunch at snooze it was delicious I ordered French toast and an omelet. When we went to the art distract there was a bike race going on so there was a lot of traffic so we decided to rent scooters (a fun and affordable way to get around 15 cents a minute). I also recommend to go on another say rather than a Sunday because a lot of the places were closed but there is so many alleys painted with so many different paintings.

16th street mall: After ring art distract we went to the mall again because there is seriously a lot to do and see there. They also have people performing shows and entertainment.

Boulder: In the evening we took a mini road trip to Boulder, Colorado and I was in love! This is a college town so everything was live and packed. We ate at a Italian restaurant called Sforno and it was amazing, we didn’t have a reservation but they quickly sat us down. Also while you’re shopping there will be mountains right next to you, it was so beautiful.

Monday

Red rocks: Red rocks is 30 minutes out from Denver and I definitely recommend to go here if possible. You can explore, hike, eat, and shop. This place is gorgeous just be prepared to go up and down stairs (I almost had an asthma attack). They also host work out classes or yoga so check out the website if that interest you guys.

There are so many great things to see and do in Denver so this is just a bit of what we did. I hope you guys enjoyed this travel guide and use it when you go to Denver! Have a fantastic week and I will be back with another blog soon!

Sending love – Megan Carolina
