Definition of mindful:
1. Conscious or aware of something.
2. focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, especially as part of a therapeutic or meditative technique.
One word I’ve been using lately is being mindful for many different things. For instance, being mindful with my body, being mindful of how I think, being mindful on how I use my time, and so many other ways. My perspective on my life has made a 360 because of just being mindful on the smallest things is life. So from one person to another let me give you an inside of how I am mindful.
My body:
Being mindful with my body has helped me so much. I’ve watched what I am putting in my body, when I go grocery shopping I am more aware of what I am buying and I read labels/ingredients. I don’t buy everything organic I just choose the more natural side and or used plant based products instead. Also I don’t stuff my face anymore, I am mindful by not depriving myself but being aware of how much I am eating. By doing this I’ve lost weight without really trying to diet!
How I think:
I’ve learned to be mindful on how I think. When I am going to work or when I go to school I think to myself I don’t HAVE to do this, I GET to do this! When I think like this I take less things for granted and realized how blessed I really am. My life has really changed because my perspective on life is so different than it used to be.
Using my time:
I used to sleep in till like 30 minutes before I had to go to work, and I would be late. Now I’ve used my time wisely. After a morning workout I make my bed and pick up a little bit so after work I am no stressed out when I come home. I might make a morning coffee and meditate before my day starts. Also when I have free time I don't just sit on my phone I will use that time to organize my apartment or work on my blog!
Ways I become mindful after chaos or distractions. You don't have to follow these exact things but they do help me just focus and not get stressed out about life.

Baking – I bake to remember what I can create with two hands. I used to think I could never be good at cooking or baking but I love it after I realized what you can put your mind to. Just go on pinterest for easy or if your up for a challenge recipes!
Working out – I used to dread working out but I don’t work out to lose 30 pounds anymore I work out to be healthy. Tone it up is the app I love to use, they encourage you and give you all the resources you need. Organization – My home is one place I want to feel peaceful and not chaotic so I find when my house is the cleanest and organized I love being here the most. Stress free. By being in a stress free home I pick up daily and clean everything about every other week. This helps things stay intact so there isn't piles of things lying around.
Podcasts - I recently got into listening to podcasts and i love it! When I am at work and the kids are napping I'll put in my headphones and listen to a podcast to help me refocus and relax for 30 minutes. I usually listen to Coffee talk by Kalyn! She has so many great podcasts.
